Super Supple Deerskin gloves with an extra bit of tech…..
Maybe I have a little obsession with motorcycle gloves……there I said it. Gloves are one of, if not the most important contact points when riding. I always ride in gloves, and they have to be comfy. If you’ve got a glove that annoys you during a ride it’s just an unwanted distraction in my eyes.
I’ve reviewed quite a few pairs of gloves, and will no doubt review a few more. The DeerTour gloves from Lee Parks have quickly become favourites. They are made from beautifully supple DeerSkin leather, which interestingly is approx four times stronger than CowHide.
The clever part of the design of these gloves is that they have only four seams in the entire glove. The seam is a big stress point during a crash, and having less of them means the glove is less likely to break up and cause injury to the hand.
The PCI version of the glove is also lined in Outlast, a material with incredible thermal properties. It has the ability to radiate heat around your hand, which is particularly useful in conjunction with heated grips. This radiation also dissipates heat away during warm conditions.
These two pairs of gloves will, therefore cover you for pretty much the whole of the year, perhaps with the exception of minus temperatures.
