After a stylish, well made riding boot that doesn’t look like a riding boot?….
Then the new Caprino boot from Furygan could be the one for you. Its beautifully constructed from quality materials, the leather is great and I think will take on a wicked patina, especially in the coffee colourway.
The sole is chunky, but in a nice robust not ‘clumpy’ way, and its stitched to the boot which means they can be replaced as they wear out by any decent cobbler. The speed fit clips at the top of the boot are a nice feature and make getting them on and off very easy. These are genuinely all day comfortable boots.
Although they look like casual ‘work’ style boots (reminiscent of Redwing Iron Rangers) there is no shortage of protection. The toe box and heel are re-enforced and the boot features D3O armour for both the inner and outer ankles. Sympatex lining means the boots are waterproof, (the gusseted tongue also aids this) yet breathable.
There is however no shifter panel on these boots, so if that is of concern you will need to pick up one of the many shifter protectors that are on the market.
With top materials and construction you would expect top price, but Furygan manage to bring the Caprino in at a penny under £160,
