A ready made Cafe Racer version of the Street Twin is coming…..
Launched today at Intermot Cologne is the new Triumph Street Cup. This Cafe Racer inspired ride is based on the already popular Street Twin, but features some interesting differences. The striking paint scheme being one of them.
The seat unit is different, placing the rider a little further back on the bike, and the removable cowl finishes it off nicely. The lower Clubman style bars help to ’tilt’ the rider forward into a slightly more aggressive stance. This should come in handy to make use of the taller rear shocks which make the head angle steeper. This will encourage the bike to turn in sharper than its Street Twin sibling.
A fly screen and bar end mirrors come as standard, as do the new satin black exhaust silencers. It appears to have dropped the somewhat clunky speedo mount of the Street Twin and gone with the cleaner ears used on the Thruxton.
At launch it will be available in the Yellow/Silver shown, as well as Black/Silver. It should be hitting showrooms in the spring of 2017.
